An Evening Primrose (not Sonata Pink Cosmos, sorry 'bout that!)

From my back yard last summer, I loved the different shades of pink on them.

Actually, I don't think they're Cosmos at all, I just checked thinking I should get more for this year. I think what I bought had a wrong name tag in the tray of them.

Maybe Evening Primrose?
It’s okay to not know all the answers.

That's what I think too after trying Google's image ID search. Also called Pinkladies or Showy Pink Evening Primrose? Does that sound right to our experts?

Definitely Evening Primrose, I had that one for years until the bunnies did it in.

I have that too and it's very invasive here.

Beautiful image, Murky. Lovey dubby

I was going to say it looked like showy primrose but I see that you've already corrected yourself. Thumbs up

Whatever they are, they look like winners for any garden. Such an enchanting mix of pastel pinks. Looks like all of the blooms got the memo about turning to face the camera, too! Smiling

Very pretty banner! Thumbs up

And yes, very invasive.....BUT, still worth it, imho.

I have to pull them out occasionally....they grow through the soil,
and by seed.

At a former home, I had let them go in a rosebed (before I knew better).
Then (after a few years unchecked) had to use a pitch fork to dig out the roots. That was extreme, but now I just cut them back after blooming before they go to seed, and pull out those that are in the wrong spot.

Drought tolerant, free blooming, but be careful where
you plant them. Whistling

Here's a good article on them...
