Hi. Last year when I started collecting Sempervivums, I got caught up in Heufelii and ended up with more of them than regular Sempervivums. I had a few that weren't as hardy, then some that are limping back gradually, but these three I give my prize for looking good, and having extreme cold and drought survival abilities. I judged them on the way they look (fresh, clean) the fact that they did not go dry, or lose leaves, or were not damaged by the weather. I have a few more, like "purple haze" which looks genuinely beaten up, so it may come back later, but for now, it is looking bad.

Awesome information Katy. They look very good. It would be wonderful if you go to the entry for each one and post a comment about the conditions they are growing in.

A good idea, of course. Right now, it is pretty much like other places in spring. Many simply love the weather. I have to hose water everything because we have not had any rain. The growth of all the sedums is phenomenal. So far they really like it out here.
