Perhaps the most variable species in the world; there are more than 300 named English forms. Some mature at 6 inches high... others can reach 4 feet. Unlike American species of lady ferns, this one has an erect rhizome.
They are considered "quite easy to grow." The easily broken fronds do, however, benefit from wind protection.
