Hello everyone, this is my first post in the Hoya forum. I have been browsing around the Garden website. I stumbled in here and have become intrigued with these hoyas.
A few of my questions are:
Are hoyas easy to grow and care for?
What kind of Hoya would you recommend to someone just starting out?
I have a greenhouse with lots of different plants (most of them very happy and thriving ). Would they like that type of invirorment?
Or are they strictly meant as houseplants?
Thanks for any advise you can share.
Happy Gardening :-)

I find most Hoyas very easy to grow. My Hoyas stay outdoors year round in my screened pool enclosure where they are exposed to filtered sunlight all day and they seem to enjoy the humid conditions here in Florida but many people keep Hoyas as indoor house plants and some people grow them in their greenhouse structures.

I think Hoya carnosa is probably one of the easiest to grow. I had one for more than 35 years before downsizing my plant collection and giving it away. My Wax Plant (Hoya pubicalyx) is from a small cutting I got in trade about 17 years ago and it's been easy in my opinion and it blooms off and on all year for me.

Lacunosa is very easy to grow as well and the blooms smell great. Welcome!
