Might this be Mexican Daisy Erigeron karvinskianus, and not Marguerite Daisy Argyranthemum frutescens?

You might be right. Was relying on the wife's description. Please feel free to remove as it was simply a fun shot.

They're both called daisies, a name that is used for quite a few plants in the Aster family, but the abundance of small flowers, and the look of the flowers makes me think of Fleabane (Erigeron). There might be another fleabane species that has that look with the petals starting out pink then fading to white, but it looked very much like Mexican Fleabane AKA Mexican Daisy to me.

The photo is charming, and I'm glad you shared it with us. I tip my hat to you.
