I bought this at a neighborhood plant sale but the guy didn't know what it was...I am wondering if anyone here can identify it?

Its hybrid. Euphorbias ferox , enopla and pentagoa have singular ...spikes. This has 2 and up to 3, meaning its parentage is either horrida or polygona, in the very least the coarse skin supports this.

Given that you may not get further than a genus name for this plant... I don't think the species or hybrid name matters much with regard to care (treat it like an average succulent or cactus). Be aware that Euphorbias produce sap under pressure that oozes out when they are injured. Avoid touching this sap, as it can be a potent irritant.

As always, Stefan never fail us on the cactus/succulent ID, curious on where and how you get those knowledge? At quite a young age? I tip my hat to you.
