Thread OP

Hello,

I'm looking for your advice and experience on my suffering Monstera plant. Despite my best efforts, and I'm not sure what I can do to help. I would be grateful for any help or recommendations you may offer.

Here are the symptoms that my Monstera is displaying:

1. Curling Leaves:
The leaves on my Monstera are curling inward rather than remaining open and flat. I'm concerned that this may suggest an issue.

2. Brown stains on Leaf Ends:
I've observed some unattractive brown stains on the ends of certain leaves. It appears to be spreading slowly. About half of the leaves have a little bit of brown stains at the tips.

3. Not Thriving:
Overall the plant seems not thriving, does not look healthy in my opinion, leaves are overlapping each other. The plant somewhy does not give me Monsterish vibes.

Additional information:

My Monstera sits near a south-facing window, so it gets brilliant, semi-direct light all day. I haven't made any recent modifications to the lighting. I do water when my water meter shows below moist, this happens about every 2 weeks. I do fertilize at the same time I water.

I would greatly appreciate any advice, tips, or troubleshooting suggestions you can offer. Sorry, if the quality of pictures is not that great.

Thank You!

Regards,
Jacky

Hi & welcome!

It looks thirsty. That's a lot of plant in that little pot.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Could brownish spots and inward curls be the reason of underwatering? My soil meter was showing moist 4/10 (probably not that accurate, since I just checked with a stick and it was dryish), but nonetheless I just watered. What size of the pot would you recommend for this? Thanks (:

Happy to reply. ; ) I don't know about the spots, but thirst can cause leaves to curl. If the roots have filled the pot, it may be time for a bigger pot.
