Thread OP

I'm just plain stupid math. I find the 3:1 ratio a little to much nectar for my needs. The 1 cup water to the 1/4 c sugar may be a little too small. What would be the next size u lol

Welcome McGinnster!

I think that article says 4:1 ratio, 4 parts water to 1 part sugar.

A "part" can be any amount you choose; make all parts equal.

If you use 1/2 a cup as a part, then mix 4 half-cups of water to 1 half-cup of sugar.

It doesn't have to be any particular measurement. A part can be a yogurt cup, a juice glass, a coffee mug. Just keep the ratio, 4:1.

I agree That is a perfect way to look at it. Just find a cup or vessel a little bigger than a 1/4 cup size and fill it with pure cane sugar one time then fill it with water four times. That will give a 4:1 ratio.
