One of my Sungold tomato plants, which is barely a foot tall, is already flowering. I'm wondering if it's too young? Would it be better to pinch off the flowers until it's a larger plant?

I would leave it alone.

As this same question came up a few days ago in another Forum, I googled "should you pinch off tomato flowers." Lots of opinions out there but until I see a website ending in .edu or .org saying pinch flowers, I will continue to advise against it.

I don't pinch flowers. IF it is too soon, the plant will know, If it isn't proper conditions, the plant will know. IF the temps are wrong, the humidity is wrong, the plant will know and take care of it. Your plant could be a dwarf variety and ready for blooms. It will be fine.

I never pinch any flowers. Leave it and the plant will be fine.

Thank you all for your input. Ground squirrels chewed nearly all my tomatoes bare, so my question about early fruiting is moot, I'm afraid. Sad But I appreciate the responses.
