A couple of different shades in the same patch caught my eye, but they look just like the other ones I found.

Looks like it. They do come in a range of colors and appear to cross pollinate freely.

Yes, Aleema, it is Nigella damascena. I have grown these from seed many times in my garden and I love them. One plant can have several shades on it: light blue, pink, and white. My favorite thing to do with 'Love in a Mist' is to hang them upside down when they develop the seed pods. They dry to a beautiful mauve/beige color and the dry seeds inside the pod make a neat sound. They last for a long time in a basket or wreath.

I'm sorry I do not. I had some back in the spring, but we had severe drought, and they didn't make it. I will look through my photo stash and see if I can find a pic from last year. Lovey dubby

Aleema, I searched my photos and I had deleted a plethora of pictures, but Zoe is correct. You can search online and get plenty of photos and information. Lovey dubby

Be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom. I love it in fresh bloom, but I also love the dried seedpods. Win-win! Lovey dubby

@slowcala: The trouble is that the dried efforts always seem to keep the flower in 3D, rather than pressed into a book (2D).

My photo made it into the database, so I feel I contributed back this time around.

I think it could be a new category : dry flora (not just from bud to decomposition).
