I agree Well written description. I especially like the comment that some were "jarring to the eyes". When I see a flower that catches my eye (or a dog or sheep or cattle....) I can stare at it for long periods, and it makes me feel happy.

I too love contrasts in Iris, especially light vs dark. Thanks for the information ~Jan

Yes, Kent, thanks (belatedly) for that walk-through. I had a couple of thoughts about the second one, at least, but was very interested to hear your thoughts. It would be interesting to have a running thread in which people could post pictures of seedlings and everyone could mull pros and cons. I have my first-ever pods developing right now, so maybe in a couple of years I'd even be able to post some ugly ones to discuss.
