What is going on, if anything? Do not remember seeing this before, but then again there are a lot of things I don't remember seeing. Thx.

Hi Rj, sorry for the late response. I just found your new thread.
I would start by clearing what looks like thyme, from the rosettes. Looks like the red offset has been damaged? You can pull it out and check to see if has pests.
The second photo looks like damage to one side of the rosette. I see the puckering in the damage leaves, but the other side looks good.

Pulled the thyme out from around the semps, pulled the red one out, nothing out of the ordinary that I could tell.

If it looked healthy, and has roots replant the red one.
