Thread OP
Mexico, MO
In Missouri, we have a weed that grows with small white flowers. The flowers are about 1" diameter and are funnel shaped. I don't have a camera to get a pic, but was hoping someone could help me get a name to look up. I tried googling wildflower small white flower funnel trumpet, but nothing came up looking like my weed.
The funnel of the flower appears to be ONE SINGLE PETAL. Hopefully that will help narrow down the options, as most that I looked up had multiple petals.

One of the Convolvulus species,, perhaps? Ground hugging vine?
Pygmy Bindweed (Convolvulus lineatus)

Field Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis)

Maybe some kind of "pitcher" bloom? Search "pitcher" plant and you might find something that looks right.
Maybe it takes a long time to grow, but remember that if nobody plants it, nobody has it.

Here's a good wildflower website that might help you ID your flower...

Not sure that you are still here...

We actually need growth habit...

Calling plants "weeds" is unhelpful...

Calling it a vine or an upright grower of whatever height, growing in sand / clay soil or whatever would be more informative.

Each time I come back to this post, I'm reminded of the dawnflower... (Stylisma)

Hello, I live in a thick wooded area in middle Tennessee. I spot small wildflowers frequently. Here is one that I can't identify. It's only 6"-8" tall. I'm hoping to catch it open tomorrow.
