Hi I have and front for my landsca pink little lime punch hydrangeas. They are growing quite nicely and have not bloomed yet. What I would like to know though is the bushes itself are pretty full and some of the stems and leaves are laying and and the ground. They could use a little shaping and some of the stems the smaller stems that are laying on the ground. I would like to take off but I'm afraid that it would stop my plants from blooming.. Can the leaves or the stems the smaller ones, Try to shape them up without causing or stopping the plant from blooming usually in july. I did cut them back early Winter and should have cut them back more but didn't so this is. What I've ended up with can you help me?

Feel free to do some light pruning with the understanding that yes, it may impact the blooming potential of those particular stems but not of the unpruned stems. The Limelight Collection does not contain any cultivars that bloom early or very early. Therefore, if you prune quickly now, it is possible that even the pruned stems may still blossom, albeit later than usual or after the unpruned stems. This can vary by geographical location and time of year.
