Purschesed a shade cloth from shadecloths.com [actually got two as min order was $180] Since i got a spare i got one 30% and one 40%. Installed the 30% think i should have used the 40% as it's still hot in there. First time i've done this, used 3/8" rope through grommets to spread the tension, then installed eyebolts in attached shed. haven't secured the other ends yet was thinking bungees but afraid to snag cloth on the many sharp ends due to poor install. Appreciate any feedback, heres some pics.

Jim, I doubt that it's ever going to be "not hot" despite the shade cloth, unless you have extremely good ventilation.

I also have some new shade cloth for the first time this year, but we've had so much "smoke haze" from the Canadian wildfires I've been debating whether to put it up!

Your right, i never used shade cloth before i thought 30% would be darker. I need to monitor the temperature to get a better feel for this. Planning to add a mini split heat pump to better handle temps. Would like to keep tropicals year around.
