a cluster of a dozen Crocosmia always got a smile out of me. The foliage is attractive, the flower stems put the blooms at waist or even higher levels, the way the blooms are configured on a stem is simple yet very elegant, the color is a very handsome shade of red. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO WALK PAST THEM WITHOUT SLOWING OR STOPPING.
It must be even more so when people walk past the clumps of Crocosmia in this photo.

Thank you for the inspiring comments. The crocosmia add so much to the garden this time of summer. The people and the hummingbirds love them. Every spring I divide them and give some away, and they just keep growing back bigger.
