I've had good luck with zucchinis for 2 years in a row. I have to prune the plants to keep them from taking over the garden - maybe they need more room than I've allowed them. But before with the same space they produced well. I got anything from good veggie size to large bread making size depending only on how long I left it on the vine. But this year they're rotten before they even reach any kind of picking size. And I caught a vine borer adult yesterday. I almost just want to cut it down and till that bit of the garden over and try again next year..... Especially since I also have a cucumber vine next to it that is doing well this year. Should I give up on my zucchini? Shrug! Sighing!
