Thread OP

Hi! Please Tell me, what max temperature it is ok for the hawaiian palm? It is ok for the Plant to stay on a balcony where the temperature can reach 36 degrees Celsius now in the summer ? I have put it there because it is more light, with direct sun only a Little bit in the morning Around 7-8 Am. Another option is to put it in the house, At the window, But there are trees outside and it will be shade all day, do you think it is better this way?

I do not know what the max temperature tolerance is for this plant. I would think 36C is on the high end. Strong light is important for this plant. You can probably get away with growing it indoors but only with hours of daily sun. So I guess the best position is probably the outdoors one, given the choice. Maybe take it inside during the very hottest days of the year to be on the safe side? I have never grown this plant but am going by what I have read in the book Pachyforms, which I recommend.

Welcome! to the forum!

Spot on!

Looking back some years ago, I remember a gentleman growing this plant in one of his C&S greenhouses here in NJ.
It was beautiful in bloom!
