Several plants came up in one of my beds but I don't know what they are.
They about 3-4 ft tall.
I think they're weeds. What do you think?

No one has answered, I see. I don't know, but I think it's possible it may be a type of sunflower. There's a native sunflower here with a vegetative growth habit that's much like what is shown in your photo. I've been told by knowledgeable people that it's excellent wildlife food, especially for birds. There usually are a few clumps that show up here in the pasture. I've never seen it grow as tall as the common sunflower plant. It has multiple stems unlike the common ones and with narrow leaves closer together on the stem than common sunflower plants. I think it may find it's way into some birdseed mixes, but I'm not sure why I think that.

You might check out photos for Helianthus maximiliani

I'm glad Donald brought this back. I also suspect it is a Helianthus maximiliani — Maximilian sunflower. Around here they bloom near the end of the summer and get huge. You usually see photos of their impressive floral displays, the leaves don't get much attention but those look right.
Several pics here:

Donald and Zoe are correct; they are Maximillian sunflowers. Let them bloom!!! You won't be disappointed.
