My lakota squash is doing beautifully and loaded, but the fruits are a beautiful creamy yellow. Do they change color as they mature? I am in southeast Wisconsin, zone 5

They do change color as they ripen. They are also some what inconsistent in coloration. Winter Squash (Cucurbita maxima 'Lakota') Should be orange with splashes of green when ripe.

Welcome to NGA @smithlewis Smiling

Could you post a photo of your squash? Lakota also has a somewhat distinctive shape. It's quite early in the season right now, so those squash have a long time still to grow and change color.
