(It seems like there is no sub-forum for berries so I'm posting here)

I'm still struggling to understand the differences and the clues to identify huckleberries and chokecherries[/b]. Especially because it seems like I live somewhere where I can find both.

Would you have a nice text and photos to explain to me or a link ?

Chokecherry (Prunus virginiana ) is easily distinguishable from a Huckleberry by their fruits. Huckleberries ( Vaccinium are similar to blueberries in taste and texture. Tiny seeds which leave a gritty taste to some people. Choke cheery is a stone fruit, single large seed and are usually quite astringent. The choke also grows to a small tree reaching 30 feet, Huckleberries usually are about 3 feet tall, can reach 9-10 feet in reach moist shady conditions. They are about as different as apples and oranges.
