Today I snipped off two tall bloom scapes on this echeveria and am wondering if this will damage the plant in any way? If not, I'll take off the remaining two. Is there any accepted wisdom on this?

I don't believe it would. I've never had issues with it before hurting the couple of echeveria I have. You could always ask I'm the cactus and succulents forum as they will likely have more experience.

Hi Cody.
I agree with Nathaniel. I have always cut the bloom stalks off of my echeveria when the flowers die. Have never had a problem with doing that.
