Hi folks, Wondering what might be my problem. I have grown tomatoes before but this year they LOOK good but the inside is "immature?" the core leading up to the stem inside is yellow up to green at the stem exit. the outside is nice red. They are watered twice a day at 7am and 7pm for short time. Heirloom beefsteak style actually is OK just this Italian varity has issue. Fertilizer was used and fresh soil. Never seen this before. The core is also stiffer and not edible really.
thanks for any help you can provide! I will try to post a pic as well shortly.

I just uploaded a pic - but I do not see it here? maybe will show up eventually....

Steve, most of my tomatoes have a hard core this year....I'm thinking it's caused by not enough sun & warmth during the formation.....thick skins, too.....

I appreciate the reply and your personal observation. These seeds were from a common variety in Italy. I thought that MAYBE they were used to different conditions and they need to adjust to my zone. I saved seeds and will try again next year.
