Hi everyone,
I'm back with another pothos question. I've had this pothos in my office now for two years. It has grown really well. I've pruned it twice and gotten excellent cuttings from it. And it has grown one really long vine that I placed so it can grown along the wall. But now it's starting to have issues. I've noticed it start to yellow on the edges and now its getting fully yellow leaves. I water it whenever I feel the dirt is dry about two inches into the soil. It also gets fertalizer every other month or when I remember to be honest. Ive also noticed that the soil has been getting dry faster than usual like the soil isn't holding water like before. I live in the dessert and the building can have fluctuations in temperature especially during the weekend. The only thing I can think of is that I need to change to soil and or repot because it's been two years since that's happened. Or is there anything else I should consider? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Pothos tend to drop leaves from time to time. They look better if you keep them cut back, you end up with a fuller plant, in my opinion. The long vines will keep growing at the tip but drop leaves along the stretched out stem. They don't come back.
Overall, your plant looks healthy.
You might try soaking the whole pot to be sure the soil is hydrated, then let it drain well to rinse out any excess salt accumulation. Maybe let it get a bit drier before watering.
I'd wait on the re-pot, maybe next spring when the days are longer, but it's probably not necessary.
Office temperature fluctuations shouldn't bother it. Mine at home handle 60's to 90's, and even seem to like the heat better.

As the size increases, the water usage will also increase. If the top 2 inches feel dry, I would water more often. If the top of the soil is dry and under that there is very moist soil underneath, I would consider repotting so the soil is more uniform from top to bottom and in that case, I would get rid of the soil on the top that is not getting or staying hydrated. If you find a lot of roots in a pancake at the bottom of the pot, you can cut a lot of that off and it should fit back in the same pot with a lot of new soil under the roots to grow into.

If there is not a drain hole, tap water substances can build up in the soil over time and changing the soil can help if that is what is causing the compromised leaf edges. We might not know exactly what is causing the problem, but compromised edges on Pothos usually indicate something wrong with the roots or soil. Getting too dry usually causes the oldest leaf or two to turn uniformly yellow all at once.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.
