Hi thanks for reply's I did think the leafs matched the adora but never. Seen a variegated one
How rare is this plant
Just waiting for plant to reproduce now thank you all
Looks like Alocasia cucullata
The yellow variegated are more common, readily available in my country. The white variegated and mint form rarely appear in market and they are usually very expensive.

This is much larger growing than Culcullata. Leaves are much broader and gets a lot taller and has a bigger trunk at maturity. I had to have mine identified by an Alocasia breeder here in the US who was instrumental in bringing it to the US over 20 years ago. Its still quite rare, never really 'took off' here. Its common in India and China

I think yours is Odora 'Indian'. Which is what mine was identified as. Here is a side by side You can decide for yourself.
This is A. Culcullata. It has a distinct 'point'. This plant is about 10 years old. The veining is simple, and the leaf blade between the veins is smooth. The trunk, even at this age, is thin. There is a hunting arrow shaft for comparison. I can circle this with my hand and still fit 2-3 more trunks in
This is A. Odora Indian. The leaves can be variable. More elongate or more chordate. The thin tip is much less pronounced. The leaf blade is quite a bit larger, and the space between the veining is puckered not smooth. It's also much larger. One trunk of a much younger plant would equal about 6 trunks of culcullata bunched together.
So you can compare and decide for yourself

I got mine at a farmers market from a seller who had no idea what it was. He has been growing Irvin his yard for almost 2 decades. I paid $12 usd. I've never seen a variegated one so have no idea but I'm sure people would try and overcharge for it given the popularity of aroids right now

Its difficult to tell if it will. The fact that only the innermost leaves have petioles that are variegated suggests that the mutation may not be present through all the cell layers of the meristem.
Many times with variegated alocasia, there will be a mix of all green offsets and variegated offsets. You will just have to wait and see

Description. NEW! to the UK a variegated form of alocasia wentii, it still has the dark purple underside to the leaf but the top is covered in an amazing variety of marbled grey & white splashes
I'm leaning towards this now darker green leafs and also marbled grey
also ting of purple under leaf's
