I found these American lotus (Nelumbo lutea) yesterday. I had no idea they grew around here. Amazing what you will find when you look.

Yes, they are very pretty, we have some of those around here too, growing in the Trinity river.

Nuphar, probably Nuphar advena. Common names, Spatterdock, or Yellow Cow Lily.
Wildflower Center is still using the old nomenclature.
