Not sure where to post this, maybe the Sandbox forum? or Moon Photo thread in Sandbox similar to the Cloud thread? Anyway, Thursday night was too cloudy to get any really good photos, but last night it was very clear here.

The detail is pretty incredible! Thumbs up

I'm not sure why it was decided to bury the purpose of this forum so far down it's main forum page. I only found it because I know it used to be there, and had to scroll down past eighteen photos to find it. I can only imagine what it must be like on a smart phone!

So if you would like to share how you produced the photo so we can all learn how to (or how not to)... - camera, camera exposure settings, etc., then this is the place to be.

There is a Random Photos thread in Sandbox. Regardless of where to park it, that's a stunned image, Nancy!

Well there is moon gardening, so I guess it's still directly related to gardening! Hilarious!

My camera is a Sony R10M4 that I use for everything, it has a pretty decent zoom on it. I get the best full moon pics using 1/1000, f4.0, ISO100 and this is just hand held, no tripod. And then it's just minimal touching up in Lightroom, the biggest change is cropping it.

I really wish I lived in a dark sky area and could see more than 3 stars at night. I'd be out there nightly with a telescope and special camera mount then.
