Hi I have a nice bird of paradise plant but it got white spots and there are various reasons what it can be and I cannot figure our what is wrong with it;( can you help me to identify it and share advice how to treat it please? Thank you so much!

3 out of four pictures show scale insects. The second picture doesn't show the insects but the spots are probably from them too. You can go the alcohol on a swab route and/or apply systemic insecticide. Bonide and Bayer both have systemics you put on the soil and water in. Due to all the crevices in between the leaves I think the alcohol on a swab method is ineffective for control/elimination.
