I have been looking for a source for this flower I saw in a garden park in Germany. I think it is an Apache beggarticks (Bidens ferulifolia) variety. Can anyone tell me if theyve seen this in USA?
Thank you. Yes it is quite striking. I have not yet found a source for seed or plant but will continue... short of going back to Germany and stealing some cuttings.
Name: Suzanne/Sue Sebastopol, CA (Zone 9a) Sunset Zone 15
I think it's the variety called Red Star, more of that star shape rather than the more rounder of Red Eye. I only found it listed in UK nurseries. https://buyplants.co.uk/produc...
Or this one https://buyplants.co.uk/produc... which may be the same, sometimes vendors add to names.
FYI, Bidens ferulifolia is a synonym now for Bidens aurea
