Thank you for the fall tour of your gardens! I do miss the fall foliage colors. I especially miss the Dwarf palmatum lace leaf maple - we had a huge one when we lived in Pennsylvania.

Thank You! Gigi and Floridian… this morning we have a cold icy marine layer of fog ,
Which can cause the leaves to brown fast. It's a good thing I took all those pics yesterday before the killer frost arrived.

Floridian even though the maple cannot survive in your new zone you have much more semi tropical plants that I adore especially adenium's and palms… and so much more.

I liked this tree which seemed to color up early. The second one shows a lavish growth of lichens on the trunk.
A Zelkova, right?

Hortica.. very nice reds.. love the zoo . It's a nice day for checking out the fall leaf colors in the PNW. There is a train ride to the coast from Banks to see all the fall colors.

This is from my kitchen window..

Thank You! It has been an exceptional year for fall color in the PNW.
The upside all the trees are in full fall color even the bright sun light makes the green trees look spectacularly bright in the bright reflections of daylight.
The down side the leaves will all fall from my tree collections in the garden and the 'Battle of the Leaves will begin'. Yeap…clean up…

@ quietyard is it Ok to Thank You! for fall leaf color envy . Hilarious! Seriously I can turn that around & tell you how much I adore the beautiful landscape and sunsets in your zone.
Soon all that 🌳envy 🌿will be falling on the driveway, the roof, clogging the downspouts, lawns, flowerbeds and pastures…..'As the Battle of the Leaves Begins'…..Ugh…😱 there's the downside to the upside. I will have leaves up to my 👀.

Hilarious! Yes it is ok.
Just think of all the fun you can have running and jumping into those leaf piles. 🍁. (Remembering my childhood in Michigan.) Smiling
We do have great sunsets. Thumbs up

You are so Welcome! Bea! Yes, I have been putting "fall colors type" succulents in my combo. My desert roses did not get the memo yet… they are still blooming thinking it is late summer/early spring:

Once temps drop below 50s, these leaves will turn yellow too and then I will have my "fall colors".

Well permanently planting them could make it tricky to groom them, the seem to need more attention than the average plant, and for good reason.
Maybe as weather improves next season you could try 'Pot Sculpting', arrangements in area around the garden with potted plants. Using stools, seating , rocks, various sizes of lifts for he plants. If HOA approved.

There's a gal in California who lives in HOA territory and she has many potted plants in her front and back yard. She used to be very active here but haven't seen her in awhile. CaliforniaGardenNut. She has a beautiful garden even a veg garden.
With your new fence up maybe utilize the fence to protect your plants add portable shelves along them. Concrete benches etc… I tip my hat to you.

The art of pot sculpting. Not much different that patio pot sculpting… Rolling on the floor laughing
