Irises & Cattails

Two lazy mallards tucked into the irises & cattails in our pond.
They've been hanging out the last few days, after the main flock takes off, spending the day napping, dabbling, napping, dabbling...

Amazing picture with the reflections Cal. One can almost imagine that while the pond vegetation is reflected in the water the second duck is a reflection in a mirror

We love the reflections of the trees in the still water, surrounded 
by water hyacinths, & the school of large goldfish that follow me, 
knowing I will feed them shortly.

We have seen 1 or 2 West Coast Ladies (?) this time of year for the past 5yrs, either on the aloes or on a taro leaf, always in the late afternoon.
