This looks like some Echeveria other than gigantea. I would like to propose it be moved to the genus listing at least until we know what to call it. Pilbeam comments on color in his book on the Echeverias: "The main difference between this similarly large plant [and gibbiflora] is the different coloration of the leaves, variously colored in gibbiflora but consistently pale bluish green and red-edged in gigantea." The green leaves in this image are not glaucous and they do not have a red edge.

This is not the first time an image from MCG has been misidentified, and I don't know if it will be the last.

Any questions, comments or disagreements, just say the word. Smiling
