You can keep the multibranch as is to be rooted if you want an instant mini tree. However, you will probably need sticks/brace (similar to your sticks) to help it stay upright. And maybe big bricks around the base as additional reinforcement to keep it upright. You can also try to root them as cuttings similar as you outlined in the photo. Preferably 6 to 8 inches in length!
You can try rooting the others too. The middle cuttings without any leaves will take longer to root so patience is a key. I think it's because it is trying to do two things at once, it is trying to root and grow one or more branches per tip.
