Thread OP

Hello,

I've had this Euphorbia for almost 5 years now. Every fall/winter I noticed slower growth and shedding a handful of bottom-most leaves.

This year MANY MORE leaves have been shedded, probably in the order of 10-15. Most of them have been bottom (older) leaves. However there is no sign that it's stopping. At the same time however there is new growth (and flowering, for whatever reason). Attaching pictures.

Please help me figure out what, if anything, is wrong!

Thank you,
Dana

Just a guess since I don't grow this lovely plant but I wonder if the issue might be due to a combination of too much moisture and lack of sufficient light? Madagascar Jewel (Euphorbia leuconeura)

Thanks Lucy68. But how many leaves should one expect? This has been going on for over 2 months I think and it has shed more than usual.

Thanks, you may be right. It's the closest plant to my watering can, so it's possible that I have habitually overwatered. The pot is terracotta. I did smell a bit of mildew so I recently changed the soil.

Regarding sunlight, it's doesn't get direct sun. I live in the Netherlands, so it's not a lot of sunlight to begin with.
