Here are a few examples of Luculia. They are in the SF Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum, and like so many plants there, had no labels.
Luculia are pretty, and many have a nice fragrance. Unfortunately they are very tender. Otherwise treat treat them like a Camellia.

One of my favorite things is sushi; and while most people never taste real wasabi with their sushi (the usual stuff is really horseradish), the best restaurants use fresh stems. There is a farm here on the coast that grows it. The location is a bit of a secret, but I got a peek:

If you want me expound on how different and wonderful is true wasabi, I can.

Wow, who knew?!!!
We liked Koo for sushi on Irving St., it was recommended by a friend who went every Friday and became good friends with the owners. Haven't been since we moved out of the Bay Area.

And I hope you will consider adding your lovely images to the database!

Yes, I know Koo. They don't have real wasabi, normally.
One has to go to the really high-end sushi restaurants to find real wasabi, grated right before they put it on the fish. Quite a treat here.
