All but one of my plumeria seedlings from June 2022 are having a rough time. They are isolated in the attic in a last resort warfare against the spider mites that have been troubling them since summer. I have not seen any mites in the past month or so, since I threw out the one that was in worst shape and wiped everything down with alcohol, but it's been rough on them.

They are under plant lights on a 15 hour/day timer and the room they are in is usually around 16C/60F but has been as low as 6C/43F for a few days. It's currently around 11C/52F. The plan was to get them into natural light and normal room temperature in late February/early March.

They all have new leaves coming at the top, even though most of the old leaves came off.

When I went to check on them today, I noticed that one of them has developed some kind of cuts.

Does anyone know what this could be? The injuries were not there on Tuesday. All of the trunks are quite firm, including the injured one.

I tried looking in older posts, but I couldn't find anything that matched.

@Ylis, I have not seen an injury or crack like this on my plumeria branches. But try avoiding getting the injuries wet until it can callous. I would be interested to see updates on this one.

Keeping it dry is not an issue. I'm even wondering if the issue might be that the air is too dry. It looks the same now and it's still firm. The new leaves up top are developing normally.

I'll update if there's any change.

The cracks seem to have mostly healed and new leaves are coming. They're still in the attic, but will be moving somewhere warmer and brighter soon.
