Hello, I received this syngonium a few months ago and it had some white pests on the leaves. They were starting to go away but I wasn't satisfied so I ordered neem oil and have so far sprayed them twice (five or so days apart). The problem seems to be getting worse. I'm not sure what else to do. Does anyone know what pests these are? Does anyone have any ideas for how to treat them?
I tried to circle some of them but sorry for the poor quality
Thank you!!

Mealy bugs.
Neem is the worst thing you can use on aroids. It makes a waxy buildup on the leaves that eventually is detrimental to the plant.
Mealybugs are very difficult to get rid of. They are very good at hiding and avoiding something like Neem that is meant to smother them. They also get down into the container and hide.
To really eradicate them you need to use a systemic insecticide. One that is taken up by the plant through its roots and through its leaves.

I agree with all of the above.
I've been fighting mealies on my Syngonium for months. Systemic did beat them back but I think they are lurking/need another 'shot'
Plant it and they will come.

Its important to use it sequentially. Once a week, without fail, for at least a month. And drench the soil too
