Thread OP

Hi Folks,
Happy Sunday.
I have this peace lily that I just got out of soil and I put it in water. But the roots are too big for the vase I plan to use. Is it OK to cut some of the roots? If so, is there a certain way to do this? I'm new and learning. thank you.

Find a bigger vase. The roots and leaves of a plant work together to maintain a healthy growing plant through photosynthesis. If you limit or remove one (roots or leaves), you limit plant growth. Plants don't grow extra leaves or roots - they grow enough leaves and roots to support each other.

Yes please do not remove roots. Accommodate your plant in a large enough vessel. Don't try to make your plant accommodate you by removing parts of it
