I've got a Hypoestes (polka dot plant?) that seems desperate for humidity, but it's winter in Colorado and I'm in a mobile home where high humidity is pretty dangerous for mold and mildew. Misting didn't do it any good. I've got a humidifier now that I've started using immediately next to it (I relocated the plant) and am crossing my fingers for new leaves to emerge, as most of the existing ones were shed within the last month, dry and papery. I feel like such a bad plant mom! Thank heavens for pothos, which I can't seem to kill
