Dahlias

I think they're dahlias, taken at Chicago Botanic Garden.

Very pretty banner. That bright pink hue with the brilliant yellow center makes it seem as if the dahlia is reflecting the sun itself. Very well done!

That shocking pink didn't appear that bright at all in the full image. It's not until you zoom in to just the flowers being visible that you realize how bright the pink and yellow are. Here's the full image, taken in 2011.

Very pretty banner! Thumbs up
Thanks for adding the whole image.
Are all those blooms on one plant or a few planted
together?

Thanks. I looked and that was the only image of that plant that I took that day. I can't be sure from the image, but I would guess it's probably several (or many) planted together for as big as that patch is.

I did say I "think" they're dahlias! Hilarious! There wasn't a nametag, but actually I'm pretty sure I was thinking of Zinnias at the time I uploaded the pic from seeing the various ones ZenMan breeds in an Annual thread. But they could be mums too, I didn't think mums came in those colors though.
