Another view of the Japanese Island taken in spring.

A great slice of the landscape, Nancy. I wonder what the white flowering shrubs are-- looks like two different species.

Thank you. I don't have a clearer shot of those, it was taken from across a lagoon, so there's not going to be much detail. If it helps, here's the original photo, I flipped it left to right for the banner. The one on the right side (left side in the banner), might be a white spirea? Those arching stems remind me of spirea at least.



Edit to add that the photo was taken mid-May, in case that helps anyone with a better ID.

Spirea was one of my guesses. Mock orange was another. But I don't know much about flowering shrubs. These two in the banner loaded with blooms, and I bet a stroll in that garden would smell wonderful.
