Always nice to find great buys at the dollar store. The 6" saucers are clearly not heavy duty but 5 for $1.25…can't beat that!! Those larger ones are very sturdy - 10" across…'wheels' on bottom but wouldn't count on those lasting too long.

“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

Our Dollar Tree doesn't carry the oil change pans on a regular basis now. Despite the black color, they're the best saucers I've found for medium to large pots, and their depth lets you put a layer of gravel on the bottom if you want. (Add a wick, and the plant can access the water down in the gravel layer.)

Seems no matter what department I find myself in, I keep an eye out for things I can use for plants!
