If it said don't propagate that means it has a current active patent in force. That pretty much limits it to new hybrids. Should have had a name tag, if it had a don't prop tag

What was the 'brand' of this? Was it an independent grower plant, or a mass produced plant (ie, was it something like. proven Winner, a Costa Farms Tropical Traditions, etc?)
It looks to me like it is possible Royal Queen from the coloration. But its also giving off Rojo Congo vibes.
There are a lot of new philodendron hybrids on the market right now. Many come from TC houses in China. A lot of them look like many of the old established hybrids we already had....Red Sun looks a lot like McColley's Finale or Prince of Orange, 2 old McColley hybrids. These new hybrids have been flooding the market lately and are not always tagged with anything other than 'Philodendron' or 'Tropical Foliage'

Go see if they still have some at the garden center, and hope for a real name on them lol

I saw one just like it elsewhere labeled an imperial red philo

That would have been my first guess, but I hate to guess. This isn't a plant I personally have ever grown. I have Red Emerald but don't grow Imperial Red
