She's bushy, beautiful, with some foliage to trim due to yellowing and browning. She's got a lot going on. Id like to hang her. All of my windows are west facing into an alley which obscures direct light. I am wondering what folks suggest as to steps taken after first taking her home based on the following photos

Here she is:

A great deal of new foliage coming in as well as those brown tendrils (air roots?)

Doesn't seem root bound, but seems a lil big for her britches

Other than that, id like to hang her in one of two spots (both westward toward the alley)

Any and all thoughts are encouraged and welcome. Thanks!

All plants need SOME light to make it, whether your window will be enough for this plant is unknown. All you can do is try it and if it doesn't fly, get a grow light

Thanks! I'm a lot less concerned about the light than just the best course of action for potting, positioning, trimming, etc...my apologies, I thought I had named this thread as to best course of action. There is certainly light that comes in those windows, they support many of my green friends just fine

Whenever you hang a plant, you always have to expend more energy on it for the things you mention. You have to take it down to water it thoroughly. When it gets bigger you have to trim it. How much effort you are willing to go through to care for it is up to you.

Right. Of course. I apologize for being unclear but my inquiry is limited to the steps that should be taken when first bringing home and preparing to hang THIS specific plant based on how it looks in the photos. But I do thank you again.

Personally?
I'd move to a larger container...
The nurseries generally grow the plants as large as the container will hold... in fact, most times far larger than the container can support.

They are able to do this by watering with liquid fertilizer.

Those brown roots growing from the vine can be rooted into the soil... or just left alone.

Hope this helps...

You chose a plant (a pothos) that will grow in high or low light. From the greenhouse it is adapted to higher light, and it will be normal for it to drop even half of its leaves as it adapts to your situation. Don't be alarmed, as long as the still green leaves are healthy, things are fine.
