Wow, that is absolutely beautiful. I want a desert rose plant, now. I don't think it would grow here where I live properly, though.

Thank You! They are beautiful but have to be careful as plants and sap are toxic. They are easy to grow from seeds. This one I am trying to get seeds but no luck yet.

@Murky has same zone as you and she has desert roses and has 5 months old seedling with buds. She is growing her seedlings using a grow light.

If you want to try, I donate my extra seeds through Victory Seed Company, since I can't grow them all.

My 2 older ones I've just been overwintering in a south window. But since I've tried seeds and currently have a dozen babies started under grow lights (and will very likely have more the next time Gigi donates seeds Hilarious! ), I'll have to keep some under grow lights next winter. I just don't have enough good south windows for them. But they'll all be outside during the summer, including the babies, once night temps stay above 50°.

Thank you both for the advice! For some reason, I always thought you lived in Florida, Nancy. D'Oh! I definitely would like a desert rose plant and I always like starting things from seed. I'll have to try it out, now. Thumbs up

If I get lucky and this one will give me a seedpod, I will donate the extra seeds through Victory Seed too. Meantime, I have a few that have ripened but still waiting for a few more to ripen and will be donating them as well.
