When you grow a dahlia from a cutting, rather than from a tuber, will the plant usually be smaller than it's normal height and have only a few flowers the first year? I ordered a rooted cutting for the first time, and don't know what to expect. Thanks for your help!

The cutting will have a tuber - not huge - but will grow and bloom a normal size and the tuber will grow as well.
