The tips of the leaves on both are developing dark spots so I've taken them off as I see them. I last thoroughly watered a week ago. It's autumn here now but we've experienced warmer than expected temperatures that's are between 18-24 celcius(Auckland New Zealand). And they're in a good spot to get sun and I also take them outdoors often. Should I stop watering now and just let the leaves fall off naturally? Are the brown spots normal for this time of year?

Brown and yellow leaves are normal when it is autumn to winter. If you just watered it a week ago do not water until totally dry. If you are still above 10 celsius (or 50F) in a couple weeks and media is dry you can give it a tiny sip (not soggy wet) but let it totally dry especially since your pots are big so media may not be drying fast. Once temps fall below 10 celsius (or below 50F) stop watering. If you get more yellow leaves fast, It would not hurt to check the roots but so far you have no yellow leaves yet.

Tagging @deepsouth too as he has longer winter than me and more desert roses than me.

yellowing leaves (sometimes yellowing starting at the leaf tips) is completely normal for adenium, as the uptake in water has or is about cease....adeniums in cooler temperatures will go dormant & leaves falling off is the start of dormancy ...

some plants may loose all its leaves, some will drop about half, while other plants may retain all of its leaves

keep a close eye on the stem tips ..... during dormancy, stem tips will appear "bald" with no new growth or tiny leaves emerging from the stem tips ....when you see bald stem tips, stop watering and stop adding fertilizer

adeniums can handle the heat - but they can not handle wet cool roots - root rot will result, often killing the plant

plants can go as long as 180 days without any additional water or nutrients - plants will get what it needs from the caudex

have a look at these 2 guides to get you through the winter months
