I grew Treasure of the Southwest way back in 2012. That unfortunately was the year of my one rust outbreak. Although it was a light case of rust on Treasure of the Southwest, it got pitched out along with many others. I wasn't taking any chances of rust overwintering in my moderate zone. However, I still remember it because it was so interesting. The color was a melange of pink, salmon, coral etc. that varied during the day. It was lovely and looked nice mixed with other daylily colors. I remember too that even though it was a first year plant, it bloomed remarkably well. I'd try it again if I had the room and a rust free source.

I loved the tropical color, but I was growing it in a pot and lost it over the winter. Celeste's picture has far too much blue in it. The color in Gonegardening's photo and Maryl's photo are the closest to what it looked like here.

I have had ToS since 2020. It has at least tripled in fans, but isn't my most prolific multiplier. I love the color. It is almost always a nice clean color but still looks good on "bad days". I plan to keep this one for awhile.

This is probably the worst look it's ever had.

Very eye catching flower, but has not multiplied well for me. Oddly, it has struggled like some tender evergreens. It gains a fan, then loses it. I started with 3 fans, last 2 fans, gained and lost a fan each of the next 3 yr. Finally I have 2 healthy looking fans on its 5th year. I keep on with it because I love the color. That 1 blooming fan bloomed 2 months last yr. If it would just get to 5 or 6 fans!
