This is supposed to be a Pretty Parasols coneflower, which is mainly white petals and hints of pink but this year it finally have buds and it's buds came out looking like this. I don't recall this plant flowering last year, so this is it's first year flowering. The leaves look very similar to the other Pretty Parasols coneflowers I have. Now I'm suspecting it has Asters Yellow?

Has it ever flowered for you before. It not does not really look like Asters Yellow to me. Could be a wrong ID. Does it have any yellowed leaves ? Stunted growth. Right now the flowers look green but not really deformed. Even with damaged blooms I find most times it is mite damage. If the plant overall looks healthy I would give it some time.

This one has not bloomed before. But when it was growing leaves last year it looked just like the other ones beside it, which are currently blooming white and tall. This one is about 2/3 the size of the others and no yellowing whatsoever.

I've included an overall photo with it circled red. This photo was a week or two before the first blooms from its neighbors began.

Just keep an eye on it to see if the flowers become deformed. Just make sure to clean any tool if you decide to cut it back. Oar you could pot it up till you figure it out. But it looks like every flower is green and any plant I have seen with Asters Yellows had there own color with some greening.Possible it is just a green jewel.

So it is starting to look like early signs of Asters Yellow disease in this coneflower. No pollen and as it opens, instead of a ring of potential pollen it starts protruding a bit in the middle. So sad, it was such a nicely built coneflower this year.
