Hello!
Every spring for the past five years, this crazy, beautiful Columbine plant shoots up from between the pavers on my patio! I never transplant it because I am afraid I will disturb its roots so much I will kill it, but last fall, I was smart enough to collect the seeds and save them! Unfortunately, I forgot all about them until yesterday, when I noticed the Columbine coming through my pavers, and retrieved the bag of seeds I had collected.
Is there any harm in planting the seeds this late in the season? I know they like a little cold period, so I can pop the seeds in the refrigerator for a week or two before I plant them. Thinking of planting them in pots, and I figure I have nothing to lose...but would love thoughts!
In advance, I thank all who take the time to reply!
Michelle
